About the Department

The Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology of SFMMKPJSH&NC provides comprehensive services to women in the treatment and management of gynaecologic and obstetric conditions  We deliver compassionate world-class care with the latest technology in a family centered environment.

 

We treat variety of problems of female reproductive organs and utilize minimally invasive laparoscopic surgeries. We have built-in labour OT, labour rooms and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. We also provide breast feeding counseling, as well as antenatal counseling sessions.

Dr. Kamrun Nessa

DR. KAMRUN NESSA is a graduated from Jahurul Islam Medical College & Hospital under Dhaka University in 1999. She has passed MCPS Examination in 2006 and passed FCPS Examination in Obs & Gynae in 2007. She served as consultant in various recognized hospitals like Marie Stopes Clinic, Enam Medical College & Hospital. She Worked as Residence Surgeon, Consultant then Assistant professor and gradually promoted to Associate Professor in the field of Obstetrics & Gynaecology . She took training on laparoscopic surgery, infertility, LSS-EOC and other basic training.

 

She has Special interest in laparoscopic surgery, surgery for malignant cases and treatment for infertility specially assisted reproductive technique. 

Dr. Runa Laila

DR. RUNA LAILA is a graduate from Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College, Sylhet, Bangladesh,

She did her post graduation in Obs & Gynae in 2011. She worked in Jahurul Islam medical college and Hospital, Enam medical College and Hospital, Nightingle Medical college and Hospital and also CWCH in her career.

 

Now she is working in Sheikh Fazilatunnessa Mujib Memorial KPJ Specialized Hospital and Nursing College from October, 2014. She has good experience in all types of gynae surgeries including Laparoscopic surgery. She has special interest in infertility treatment.
